Here is some general info about Acupressure, where you can learn more about what Acupresure can do, how you can use it, what ailments does it cure. Acupressure is an ancient healing art that uses the fingers to press key points on the surface of the skin to stimulate the body's natural self-curative abilities. When these points are pressed, they release muscular tension and promote the circulation of blood and the body's life force to aid healing. Acupuncture and acupressure use the same points, but acupuncture employs needles, while acupressure uses the gentle but firm pressure of hands (and even feet). There is a massive amount of scientific data that demonstrates why and how acupuncture is effective. But acupressure, the older of the two traditions, was neglected after the Chinese developed more technological methods for stimulating points with needles and electricity. |

I must say this recipe works well. My mouth really feels fresh. You can use some other ingredients like essential oils for better taste but apparently you will not need toothpaste anymore. And also you will ot put fluoride into your mouth.
There are
effective, low-cost alternatives to that aromatic goo-in-a-tube you
find on supermarket shelves. Our family has been making and using its
own toothpastes and powders for years...and we've enjoyed excellent
dental health, too. You and your clan can save a significant amount of
money-and at the same time keep your teeth and gums in good shape-by
kicking the Madison Avenue habit and choosing to follow a few
simple rules:

Well another interesting study. A growing number of scientists suspect that electric light migh increase cancer risk. There is evidence that night lighting can help cause cancer by
interfering with the molecular mechanisms that control cell death and
multiplication.
Some experts claim there is a connection between lighting at night and an increase in the incidence of
childhood leukemia.

The following articles gives you more info on how much pesticides contain each fruit on average. It is still better to stick with organic food when shopping in supermarket though.
Peaches and applaes are on the top of the list. Eating the 12 most contaminated fruits and vegetables will expose you to approx. 15 pesticides a day, on average.

A wayward band of chocoholics has accidentally proved to medical
science what aficionados must have always hoped - that chocolate can be
good for you.
Researchers in the United States found that human guinea pigs who
broke the rules of a study on blood clots by eating dark chocolate
increased their protection against heart attacks.

Scientists have found the connection between hormones produced during periods of stress and cancer may be serious. The study showed that an increase in norepinephrine, a stress hormone, can stimulate tumor cells. The research also suggests the same hormone can also stimulate the tumor cells to release another compound that can aid in the growth of new blood vessels that feed cancer cells, hastening the growth and spread of the disease. The work was reported in the latest issue of the journal Cancer Research. Read more in the following article: |

Traumas from childhood may be associated with the development of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). The research shows that CFS and similar illnesses may result from the brain's inability to cope with challenging experiences. Chronic fatigue syndrome affects between 400,000 and 900,000 U.S. adults. The condition is defined as unexplained fatigue that lasts for at least six months, does not get better with rest and interferes with daily activities. For a formal diagnosis of CFS, fatigue must be accompanied by at least four of eight additional symptoms, including extreme fatigue after exertion, difficulties with memory and concentration, unrefreshing sleep, headaches, muscle pain, joint pain, sore throat and tender lymph nodes.Read more in the following article.....

In a 20-year study among 82,000 women, the incidence of coronary heart disease was roughly equal for women who ate low- and high-carbohydrate diets. Heart risk was also 30 percent lower for women who did got their protein and fat from vegetables they noted. The women were having the Atkins diet, that allows for unlimited intake of animal fat. 82,802 women were statistically followed for 20 years, looking especially at the incidence of coronary heart disease. The women filled out questionnaires on their eating habits, and this information was used to calculate their percentage of energy intake from carbohydrate, fat and protein. |

The new scientific research says that eating more proteins instead of carbs does not increase the risk of coronary disease. Even better is consuming vegetable proteins instead of animal proteins. The study included 82,802 women who have been followed since the year 1976. Women whose diets consisted mainly of vegetable protein and fat were had about 30% less likely to develop coronary heart disease than women who whose diets contained either more carbohydrates or more animal protein and fat. There was a significant direct association between dietary glycemic load and coronary heart disease. Here is a story I have just read. It is about Norwegian Homeopath who was accused of healing people illegally of serious illnesses. He finally won the court battle and was freed from all the accusations. He is still treating patients with homeopathy. The court battle was kind of a farse, the homeopath was claiming he never cured any patients but he was stimulating their immune system so the body would heal itself. Homeopathy medicines do not contain any real healing substance but only different energies that can help body get cured. Readmore in the following article.........

Another new article saying that more and more kids are becoming vegetarians, and that that is not a bad thing. America statistics has shown that 6 percent of American youths ages 6 to 17 don't eat meat. I think being vegetarian is better than being a non vegetarian. Some people will not agree but statistics has shown that eating more vegetables reduces the aggression in children and increases the learning abilities. On the other hand the fast food and hamburgers are making children restless and hard to focus.

This is the first article on my site about alternative medicine. The researchers have found out the molecule in the wine my reverse the gene activity patterns associated with diabetes, heart disease, and other obesity-related conditions.
Dr David Sinclair says that Resveratrol is an oxidant that is produced by some plants against fungal infections and injuries. It can be found in grape skins peanuts and mulberries and can be found in red wine.
Red wine also reduces the heart disease. The scientists found that at 60 weeks of age, overfed mice given resveratrol began to survive three to four months longer than those not receiving the compound.
